Houthi Political Council Member Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti: We Have the Capability to Strike Sensitive Targets in Israel; We Will Respond to Any Israeli Act of Aggression

Houthi Political Council Member Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti said in a November 10, 2019 interview on Mayadeen TV (Lebanon) that the Houthis will respond to any Israeli act of aggression against Yemen and that Yemen has the missile and aerial capabilities to strike sensitive targets in Israel, as he said was demonstrated by Houthi strikes in the depths of Saudi Arabia.

Following are excerpts:

Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti: Netanyahu’s statements may be an indication that there will be direct aggression against Yemen, and it was thus necessary to respond appropriately to them by saying that any Israeli act of aggression against Yemen will be met with a response, especially considering that today Yemen can carry out such attacks against sensitive Israeli targets. The Israelis should think it over 1,000 times before they dare to take any steps towards attacking Yemen.

Interviewer: What do you mean when you talk about sensitive Israeli targets that Yemen can reach?

Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti: Naturally, this is up to the Yemeni military forces. Some time has passed since Abdul-Malik [Badreddin] Al-Houthi gave this response to Netanyahu’s threats, and this means that Yemen already has missile and aerial capabilities that can reach the Palestinian lands. Since it can reach Palestinian lands, it can also target any location in this entity. We proved we have this capability when we attacked deep in Saudi Arabia. We do what we say we will do – this is especially true of Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi. I am sure that the Israelis took the threat of a response against any aggression very seriously.
