Swedish Muslim Writer Dr. Othman Othman: Muslims In Sweden Should Become Involved In Politics And Change The Fundamental Law On Freedom Of Expression, Which Mostly Targets Muslims

On the backdrop of the recent Quran-burning protest in front of a mosque in Stockholm, Sweden, Swedish Muslim writer Dr. Othman Othman said in a July 6, 2023 show on Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) that Muslims constitute 10% of all Swedes and that they should become involved in Swedish political life in order to change the Fundamental Law on Freedom of Expression that "mainly targets Muslims, their Quran, and their Prophet Muhammad."

Dr. Othman Othman: "The Muslims need to take part in public life and become involved in the political life. I am talking about Sweden, where the Muslims constitute over 10% of the population. These Muslims must understand that they constitute an integral part of political, social, and cultural life in Sweden.

"They must become involved in political life in order to change some of the laws, including the Fundamental Law on Freedom of Expression, which mostly targets the Muslims, their Quran, and their Prophet Muhammad."
