Hisham Sarsour In Raleigh Friday Sermon Slams Abbas For Crackdown On Militants, Accuses Arab Leaders Of Conspiring With Israel Against Hamas And The Islamic Nation; Bashar Al-Assad Would Still Be In Power If Not For Sinwar

In his December 13, 2024 Friday sermon at the Islamic Association of Raleigh, North Carolina, Dr. Hisham Sarsour claimed that if not for Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, Bashar Al-Assad's regime in Syria would still be intact. He described Israel as an "artificial body," similar to the Alawites in Syria, the Maronites in Lebanon, and the Hashemites in Jordan. Sarsour criticized Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for his crackdown on militants and condemned Arab leaders for "drugging" Arabs with anti-imperialist and anti-Zionist slogans while secretly conspiring with Zionists against the Islamic nation and Hamas.

Hisham Sarsour: "The criminal Mahmoud Abbas's regime is killing the Palestinians, while the Israelis – the criminal Zionists – are killing the Palestinians.

[...]

"We were drugged [by Arab leaders] all those years, with those slogans: anti-imperialism, anti-Zionism – and they were talking, arranging, and conspiring with the Zionists, day and night.

[...]

"They are conspiring against the Islamic nation – it's not just against Hamas.

[...]

"If it was not for Sinwar in Gaza, Bashar would have still been there, but Allah has His own ways. Allah has His own ways, and I admit to you that this is the blessing of what took [place] in Gaza. Don't think that this attitude of the Zionists, thinking that they have it – they don't. If they have it, they would not still be talking about 'Will there be an Israel next year or the year after?' Which country has doubts if they will be in existence in a year or two? Why? Because they know they are an artificial body. Yes. They have lots of weapons because the infidels want them to be there, but it's an artificial body, just like the Alawites in Syria, the Maronites in Lebanon, the criminal Hashemites in Jordan, who gave up Palestine to the Zionists without a fight. Inshallah, the future is bright, and the future is for this Islamic nation, the future is for this religion. What is at stake is where you will be, where your children will be, when this nation will raise the flag of 'there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger.'"
