In a May 2, 2019 speech that aired on MTV (Lebanon), Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah said that the Resistance has the capability to invade the Galilee and that Israel acknowledges this fact. He said that Israel is afraid to "get entangled" in Gaza and promised that if Israel's army so much as thinks of invading southern Lebanon, it will be "crushed and destroyed for the world's TV channels to see." The audience then chanted: "We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah!" The speech was delivered on the anniversary of the death of Hizbullah military leader Mustafa Badreddine.
Hassan Nasrallah: The Israelis are talking about an important development – the offensive and defensive ground warfare capabilities of the Resistance. The Resistance has the capability to enter the Galilee, and the enemy acknowledges this fact. I don't want to go into this now, but let me just tell you – as Lebanese – that Israel takes this into consideration. Israel is afraid to get entangled in Gaza, even though Gaza is besieged and exposed from all directions. Will this Israel have the courage to invade south Lebanon? If it does, it will do so with brigades and battalions. Today, on the anniversary of the death of the martyr Commander Mustafa Badreddine, I say once again, in the name of your brothers and sons in the Islamic Resistance… This is our decisive and determined promise: If the Israeli brigades and battalions so much as think of invading south Lebanon, they will be crushed and destroyed for the world's TV channels to see, Allah willing.
Audience: We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah! We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah! We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah! We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah! We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah! We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah!
