Hizbullah MP Elwalid Succariyeh said in an August 13, 2019 interview on Al-Manar TV (Lebanon) that Hizbullah's strategy has changed since the 2006 Lebanon war and that in a future conflict with Israel, it should invade the Galilee, the Hula valley, and pre-1948 Palestine. He also said that Syria has changed its strategy with the help of Iran, and that Hizbullah should fight alongside Syria if it invades northern Israel.
Elwalid Seccariyeh: After the July [2006] war, the concepts changed. The strategy of the resistance is no longer to exhaust the Zionist enemy and to delay its advancement into Lebanon's territory. We are going to war. [Israel] will not invade – we will be the ones to invade. We need to go into the Galilee. Syria has also changed its strategy. Of course, it did this in agreement with Iran. It planned together with Iran, and it has Iran's support. If the Syrian army wants to attack [Israel] and liberate the Golan Heights, the resistance must stand alongside it as a partner in the attack in this war. Naturally, its job won't be to delay the Israeli Army's advancement along the Beqaa Valley. [The resistance] must invade the Galilee, the Hula Valley, and pre-1948 Palestine.
