Iranian cleric Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbar said in a June 21, 2019 Friday sermon in Tehran that aired on Channel 1 TV (Iran) that, according to Supreme Leader Khamenei, Iran's enemies are planning to "turn Iran into another Andalusia." He said that the "Satanic think tanks" of Iran's enemies have concluded that they must defile Iran with promiscuity, immodesty, and shamelessness in order to restrain it. Mentioning the American drone that Iran recently shot down, Akbar said that the Strait of Hormuz will continue to be the "eternal graveyard of trespassers," and he said that the Iranians are people of "resistance and active deterrence" that will "smack" their enemies back when attacked and that will not start confrontations, but will finish them. He accused the U.S. of sabotaging the oil tankers that were recently destroyed in the Gulf of Oman and he criticized the U.S., saying that it acts like a robber at sea, in the air, and on land. Hinting at Saudi Arabia, Akbar said that the countries in the region that bought defense systems from the U.S. should buy Iranian weapons systems instead, because Iran would sell them to them for less and because the American systems "could not even defend against the Yemeni drones." He said: "Be on our side. Until when will you continue with your stupidity?"
Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbar: "Our wise and great Leader reminded us years ago that the enemy was planning to turn Iran into another Andalusia. This is no simple matter. They are experienced in this. In their Satanic think tanks, they have reached the conclusion that the way to restrain the Iranian nation and its great power of building the new human civilization, and that the way to break its national willpower, is by defiling it with promiscuity, immodesty, and shamelessness.

Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbar: "Then he said: 'Maybe we were the ones who made the mistake.' Yes, you made a mistake. That's true. Your mistake cost you dearly. You have made such mistakes in the past, as well. Didn't your sailors make a mistake and make you lose face in our territory? You've made a mistake again? Back then, you came through our maritime border – and now through our airspace. It seems that you wanted to test our people's sensitivities and our capabilities.

"We are men of resistance and of active deterrence. We won't be the ones to start [a confrontation], but if you start it, you won't be the ones to finish it. If you smack us once, we will smack you back at least once, like we did. It's possible that we will smack you three times in return. You should pay attention. Our people and our dear armed forces do not operate in secret. They do not behave like you. Everything you do is done in a clandestine fashion. You are robbers at sea, in the air, and on land. You do not operate out in the open. Recently, you attacked those oil tankers [in the Gulf of Oman]. You carried out sabotage operations in the region and went into hiding. But we know where you are.

"The wretched countries of the region that, unfortunately, have pinned their hopes on the Americans... There you go... You saw it, too. The American defense systems, for which you paid millions from the petrodollars of the Muslim peoples, could not even defend against the Yemeni drones. You should buy from us. Why do you buy from them? We will sell to you for cheaper. At least buy the Iranian systems. Be on our side. Until when will you continue with your stupidity?"
