Lebanese journalist Tony Abi Najem stated during a November 4, 2024, appearance on Hala London on YouTube that he does not want Hizbullah to surrender, as he prefers they "go all the way" so that none of them remain alive. Abi Najem described Hizbullah as being worse than a militia and argued that while members of the group have the right to commit suicide and seek martyrdom, they should do so on their own.
Interviewer: "Is Hizbullah a militia or a resistance movement?"
Tony Abi Najem: "It is worse than a militia. It is a criminal militia that has brought this country to where it is now. They are implementing entirely Iranian instructions, and have no problem with pursuing collective suicide.

"The problem is their insistence on collective suicide and slaughtering of this country. If they want to commit suicide, if they want to be martyred – they have the right to do so, but they should go by themselves, instead of dragging the entire country with them.

"I don't want Hizbullah to surrender today. I want them to go all the way, because I want none of them left alive. We want this story to end. None of the people who are destroying this country should be left... For a year now, we have been telling them that they must not embroil Lebanon in this. But what did they do? They called us traitors. We have been telling them for a year not to destroy Lebanon, but now we are telling them to fight till the end. We want you to get all those who are left killed, and that would be the end of it."
