Residents of Jina (Mahsa) Amini’s Hometown Hold Demonstrations, General Strike Marking the Anniversary of Her Death at the Hands of Iranian Morality Police

On September 15, 2024, the residents of the Iranian-controlled Kurdish city of Saqez – which is the hometown of Jina (Mahsa) Amini, a young Kurdish woman who died at the hands of Iranian morality police in 2022 – held demonstrations marking the anniversary of Amini’s death.
